Beef Meat and Bone Meal (MBM)

Bovine meat and bone meal (MBM) is a crushed, powdered, semi-defatted product, resulting from the cooking of cattle slaughter byproducts, consisting mainly of bones, meat, trimmings, rich in protein, calcium, phosphorus and fat. The cattle slaughter byproducts are collected in establishments supervised by official inspectors and declared fit for human consumption. Its processing takes place according to the origin Ministry of Agriculture, Antioxidants can be used in their composition to prevent oxidation of fats. Meat and bone meal is an important ingredient in terms of its economic, health and nutritional aspects. It is used as an ingredient for the balanced manufacture of animal feed (poultry, pigs, fish, crustaceans and pet), an excellent alternative to the use of inorganic sources of phosphorus and calcium, as they are more economical and palatable.
